These edible garnishes are delicious and can elevate a cocktail, dessert, or cheese display.

Ingredients
Peel from one orange Or 2 lemons or 2 limes
4teaspoonsgranulated sugardivided
Instructions
Slice citrus peel into thin strips.
Place them into a small saucepan, then fill it with about a cup of water.
Place pan on the stove, and heat to medium heat. As soon as it begins to boil, reduce heat to simmer.
Add 2 teaspoons of sugar to pot, and stir until dissolved. Simmer for 10 minutes, then turn off the burner.
Place waxed paper or a mat under a cooling rack on the counter. Using tongs, transfer citrus peels to the rack to drain. Let them sit for about 10 minutes
Add remaining 2 teaspoons of sugar to a small bowl. Transfer peels to the bowl and toss to coat.
Place peels back onto the rack and allow to dry for several hours. Alternately, you can place them on a rack and dehydrate in a low oven at 120 degree F.
Transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or freeze for 3 months.
