It was time for a refresh! Welcome to Rust Nutrition Services, “Where Science and Sensibility Meet at the Table“. I hope my new website is user-friendly and brightens your day with easy to use information.
There is an abundance of misinformation available on the Internet and I’ve been myth-busting for a long time (before today’s young “influencers” were born). It began with a weekly newspaper column years ago. Then I went onto blogging, writing books, and creating helpful resources: I do the research so you don’t have to!
When you follow Chew the Facts® you will:
- Turn confusion into clarity with trustworthy diet and nutrition information
- Turn deprivation into healthy indulgence
- No longer worry about excluding food groups – instead embrace facts, not fear, about food
- Enjoy eating for better health
Up close in the field
Over the past 15-20 years, I’ve toured multiple farms and have spoken directly with farmers and ranchers and see how food is grown or raised. I’ve also has the opportunity to speak with plant scientists, agronomists, toxicologists, and animal veterinarians. The common variable among all of these scientists is passion. They truly care about their land, their livestock, their crops, their soil, and the community around them.
In case you are wondering what a “feed lot” looks like – I visited a beef ranch in Nebraska.
Learn how to keep food choices in perspective
There’s so much confusion over “what to eat” these days. Your food choices don’t have to be complicated. Most of the fear-forward food news that you may read about is either exaggerated or simply false. We have an incredibly safe food supply in the US.
- Your eating behavior is likely more important than any individual food you choose.
- A single food is not going to ruin your health. Your health is impacted by what you eat over days, weeks and months.
- Remember – quick fixes simply don’t work for the long haul.
- Gain new perspectives on your eating habits and stay in touch by following me on social media.
