Hi there!
I’m Rosanne
Over my long career I’ve built a reputation as a trusted nutrition expert offering real life nutrition strategies, and evidence-based nutrition advice. I’ve always positioned myself to connect with people and meet them where they are. Words used to describe my vibe and what I bring to the table: “Energetic, Funny, Sensible, Science-based, Trustworthy, Deep Insight, Brave, An Unflappable Communicator, Unique Perspective”
My mission is to provide accurate and real-life food and nutrition information that can help everyone enjoy better health, by encouraging balance that’s not restrictive nor overzealous. You don’t have to focus on every bite or every plate. Nutrition is cumulative, and developing healthy eating habits are for the long haul.
My Story
Food was a central part of my upbringing. From my father and grandfather’s backyard gardens, to my mother and grandmother work in the kitchen, I learned a lot about food – how it’s grown, and how to get it to the table. Around age 13, I began having GI issues that resulted in experimenting with diet therapy (and medicine) to manage mild Crohn’s disease. This began the journey. Once I finished my degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics, I began focusing on diet therapy and heart disease, due to my family’s medical history. Nonetheless, food has always been my focus. Food isn’t nutrition unless you eat it – so it’s got to be something you enjoy!
My goal has always been to deliver well-researched information that is doable. From a communications angle, I enjoy bringing new perspectives to the table about diet and health. I tackle food and nutrition misinformation and help clients understand that good nutrition can be personalized but doesn’t have to be daunting. There are no “shoulds” that will meet every person’s needs.
Almost everyone has some misunderstanding about food – where it comes from, how it’s grown, and what they “should” be putting on their plate. Well, the truth is, misinformation about food and nutrition is growing by the minute. I’ve had up close interactions with reserachers, scientists, farmers, and industry experts.
Behaviors around food matters too, so in the end, I want consumers to build or support a healthy relationship with food. I know people are busy and have a lot of responsibilities, so I try to provide simple tips and easy recipes that the whole family will enjoy.

Fun Facts
I love coffee, but I bet you didn’t know:
- I like to have FUN. I’m an event planner and fun-maker.
- Music has always been a core part of my life since I was a child. My dad played jazz piano, my older brother introduced me to rock and roll, and I enjoy a broad range of music from 1930’s jazz and big band to punk rock, to acoustic, to the avante garde.
- I love food because I grew up in an environment where food was nurtured, respected and celebrated. My father and grandfathers tended to backyard vegetable gardens and fruit trees. My mother cooked, baked and procured the veggies from the garden.
- Like my mother, I always have a small candy dish on an end table or counter, filled with small chocolates. I believe this candy dish is a great symbol for balance and moderation – a fun, well-portioned treat can fit into the framework of a well-balanced diet.
- Like my father, I’m an artist and love design and table aesthetics.
- I love entertaining. My favorite thing is an imprompu gathering over food, wine, and good conversation.
- I love exploring cities, but I also enjoy nature and the outdoors. And yes, I like birds.
